This immersive course combines our popular Lime Bark Container Day and Lime Bark Basket Day, giving you the chance to learn a wide range of heritage skills and leave with two distinct handmade items.

On Day 1, you’ll work with freshly coppiced lime poles, learning how to carefully remove the bark using specialist tools. Starting with smaller projects to build your confidence, you’ll progress to crafting larger, lidded containers—each one unique, functional, and made by your own hands.

On Day 2, you’ll delve into the inner bark, or bast, exploring its flexibility and strength as you create a beautiful woven bark basket. You’ll learn traditional riving and weaving techniques while uncovering the rich history of this often-overlooked craft material.

Guided throughout by experienced instructors with decades of woodland craft knowledge, you’ll enjoy expert tuition in a relaxed, supportive setting.
